Question about planting an orange tree from a seed?

I would like to plant an orange tree from some seeds that I have. I looked at previous questions about this, and lots of people say that the tree wont produce any fruit, the only way to get the tree to produce fruit is by grafting.. Can someone please explain what is grafting?

I know the tree wont produce fruit for years s but i'd still like to plant it.

Plant your seed and enjoy the tree.

On occasion the seed does produce a nice tree that sets fruit - even though it isn't grafted. The fruit produced may be small, or lack flavor, or the root system may be susceptible to insects and disease...however, it may become a lovely tree an produce wonderful fruit! Go for it. :)

The purpose of grafting is to combine the best aspects of two similar trees. Say the qualities of flowering or fruiting with a healthier, stronger root system (vigor, disease resistance, etc)

Reply:Do it very fast
Reply:Grafting is the practice of attaching a fruiting or flowering species onto a root,a common procedure with fruit trees and roses.
