Does a professional spray tan look orange & will it come off when you shave your legs?

I want to get a spray tan for a weekend trip and I was just wondering if you have had one and if they look orange or normal and also if I shave my legs or go swimming will it come off? We are planning on going swimming and I don't want to get out of the pool and look all funky....Serious answers please!

Does a professional spray tan look orange %26amp; will it come off when you shave your legs?
i've had one and no, not orange if you select the right color. most tanning places have a specialist who can help you pick out the right shade for your skin. and if it is done correctly it will not come off with shaving of legs or swimming. it may cost more, but a high prices tanning option usually is higher quality and will last longer and look more natural.
Reply:They will come off after awhile but idk about swimming and things cuz i dont fake tan i lay out
Reply:Well sometime's it looks orange, but I had a bad experience with that. I did it over and over and finally one day it made my skin turn permantley brown. I finally had to go to the dermotoglist about it and they gave me medicine for it and said it happens a lot with repeated use. So beware of it!
Reply:If you get a professional spray tan and it is a reputable place then go for it. The professionals there will know the right shade for you to use and it will come out even without any lines. It won't wash off for several showers. It will get lighter every time you shower. I use Lancomb tanner and it's been great for me every year. Tanning booths are bad news. A spray on isn't going to harm you. Good Luck! BTW....it won't come off in a pool or at the beach from just swimming.
Reply:A friend of mine used Fake Bake and she liked it, just make sure you exfoiliat and moisturize. She trys alot of things like that and says this one is the best
Reply:It is made to last. if it is done well, it will not look orange, and it is definitely made to withstand shaving and swimming.
Reply:As long as you don't use an intensity level (light... to dark) that is unnatural to your skin tone, you shouldn't look orange. Be sure to exfoliate your entire body within a couple hours before you go in order to maintain the color as long as possible. If you shave and/or go swimming, a minimal amount of color will come off, but as long as it was applied evenly, it should come off evenly. So, when you come out of the spray tan, DAB yourself evenly - do NOT rub in long motions or else you will likely streak. Good luck, and have fun on your trip!
Reply:it depends if you have the mystic machine do it or a person does it.. depends on the shade. your best bet is to lay outside or go under the tanning beds for real color. it does come off in the shower little by little it only lasts for a few days maybe like 3-4.
Reply:It always looks like crap when people try to fake a tan. I mean, you see stars in magazines do this and you can always tell who's tan is fake. I'm just making the assumption that if those who have the money and desire to go out and get the highest quality fake tan can't even come out of it looking natural, that nothing out right now is going to work. Just lay out.

If you do get the tan, however, shaving your legs will definitely remove some or all of the color. Its just a dye for your skin, and if you take the top layer of skin off by shaving, you're removing the layer of skin that had most of the dye on it.
Reply:spray tans are bad. they are so un-natural. they make u look orange. you smell and it makes ur skin look so bad. ur better off with a tanning bed
