Why are there orange bubbles in my Betta tank?

There are orange bubbles in my single male Betta tank, also this orange stuff along the wall of the tank above the water.

What is it? Is it something I should be alarmed about?

Might you have an apple snail? These lay their eggs above the waterline and are often colored.

I thought you were getting ramshorns from previous questions, these usually lay the eggs below the water: http://www.bettatude.com/Misc/marge-dela... , but don't know what they'd look like if the water level drops from evaporation. Some of their eggs have a slight tint: http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Bug,%20S...
