The print is the red and orange flowers (big, bold and graphic) on the lighter background. The carpet is really the focal point of the room and I don't know if I should go bold or neutral. (This will be a GUEST BEDROOM.) Should I match the red? Go opposite with a cool blue? Do a burnt orange. Tried a dark midnight blue as well as a light turquoise and they looked awful.
My carpet is deep red, tuscan orange on a beige yellow background. What color for the walls?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

Without seeing the carpet but based on what you describe, I think a similar coordinating color such as "cavern clay" (# 7701) would look stunning.
You can also take a photo of your room %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions %26amp; they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
Reply:If there is only a touch of tuscan orange in the carpet then that is what I would do the wall in, burnt orange. I also found a yellow that might actually do well, I think it is called soft lemon, it is almost white but it adds a great touch of yellow.
Reply:Match the paint to the beige-yellow background to keep the carpet the focal point. Add more color to the walls with art.
Reply:I would think a sage green would look nice?! My living room has this color combination in it and I love the way they complement one another. Check out this site for some more ideas....http://blog.forrent.com/
Reply:i would stay neutral...if there is too much going on in the room, it will looked cluttered.
Reply:i say a light yellow
